Kilotus: My Plan To Bring the World Together

I want to bring together people and organizations trying to affect positive change in this world. There are plenty of people who are working to make the world the better place. I simply want to bring them together for a more unified effort as well as support those who want to positively impact the world, but don’t have the means or experience to do so. This is Kilotus.

I feel we need a collective goal for humanity; without it, making progress as a species will be more difficult than it needs to me because we don’t have a broad, overall goal. I don’t have all the answers, but here’s what I think it should be (feel free to disagree):

  1. To live in a world where everyone is allowed to do and believe what they wish as long as they do not hurt or infringe on the rights of others.
  2. To provide all people with, at the very least, the basic essentials for a reasonable standard of living.

Now, I think we can all agree we would love to live in a world if these things applied to you as an individual. If that’s the case, we all want the same thing and we should start making deliberate efforts to work toward that, right? This is Kilotus.

We don’t have to just discuss things amongst ourselves. We don’t have to make independent efforts. As much as people can identify with a religion or a political stance, why can’t we come together based on this ideology? You don’t even need to lift a finger. Just embrace this ideology and support those that do the same. This is Kilotus.

Kilotus is a the side of humanity of which we’ve convinced ourselves is unattainable. This doesn’t aim for utopia; the goal is the best world for all of us. We can work our way up from there. Humanity will never be perfect, but we have much more potential than some of actions show.

It’s not only about social issues either. We need intellectuals, artists, innovators, and creators just as much as we need organizers, revolutionaries, teachers, and peace makers. We need beauty as much as we need to work. As difficult as this road may be, we can’t forget to have fun along the way.

I’m building this now. Right now. I’m reaching out to people, organizing projects, and I’ll be sharing this entire journey along the way. This is my way of showing gratitude for the life I’m able to live and the many lessons I’ve learned. I found happiness and I just want the world to find it too. Together.

This is Kilotus.
