Now that 2015 is here, I figure I may as well kick off this new calendar year with some changes to my blog schedules. My first big change is The Ramblings Podcast will be once a week on Mondays now. I’m also adding a new life coaching podcast I’ll be posting on Wednesdays. This will replace the 2nd weekly episode of The Ramblings Podcast. There are other new post types, but the biggest change is 3pm ET will be used for experimental posts that may or may not become regular features Check out the full schedule below!
SUNDAY 9am ET: Positivity of the Week – I did a horrible job of consistently posting this. I’m getting back on my game.
THURSDAY 11am ET: Vlog 12pm ET:The Dream Chaser Project – My girlfriend and I want to explore the world and share our lives together. These posts will track our journey to making that happen. 1pm ET:Daily Opinion 2pm ET: Essay – A long-form piece about… whatever I feel like writing!
So it’s been about a month since my last Blog Update post (I totally couldn’t find a better way to word that). Here’s what I’m doing with my blog!
I added a sidebar finally with my five most recent posts and category cloud. I might replace that cloud with five most popular posts, but we’ll see.
By next week, I should have an about page (how didn’t I already do that?)
I’m using 10am ET to experiment with a few different post types. I’m doing more with food and photography so far (as seen by my Monday post), but I also want to start incorporating my music and maybe some cool video pieces.
In an effort to also share cool things my friends are doing, I will also periodically feature creative pieces from other people I know.
App of the Week is probably a wrap for now. I’m still figuring out a replacement post.
Thanks as always for the continued support and kind words. For now….
About six months ago I started two blogs. The first one is the blog you’re currently viewing (andregriffiths.com). The second was largely dormant, but it’s finally making a comeback.
ZenHacked (zenhacked.com) was an idea I had to bring the concepts of balance and inner peace to people who still think it’s all about meditation and hippie mumbo jumbo. I wanted to present these ideas in a simple fashion and provide actionable steps toward the end goal of, well, simply being. It was also supposed to be the foundation to a book I planned on releasing. Unfortunately, in typical fashion, I wasn’t prepared for the amount of work demanded for two blogs, especially when I’m the only writer.
ZenHacked slowly fizzled while this blog grew.
Now that I have a good groove going (say that three times fast) with andregriffiths.com, I want to get zenhacked.com going as it’s a passion of mine. I initially thought about posting there three times a week, but I’m going to start slow for once. I’ll be posting once a week on Wednesdays, a day that shall be known as Zendays going forward.
Shut up. It’s an awesome name.
Also, I’m going to use this as a litmus test for my own promotional skills by building an audience from scratch instead of involving my current social media audiences. So, yeah, wish me luck on that one.
Check it out if you feel inclined to do so. I won’t be speaking about it much here save for various updates. In any case, check it out this Zenday…
Ugh… never mind.
…I mean Wednesday, for my return to blogging about zen concepts. If you like what you see, tell a friend!
